When I think of Christmas stockings I see the Grinch smiling at me with his hands together tapping his fingers in a stair stepping fashion: “I see you bought everyone gifts this year. Well, let’s see you fill these mf’rs up too!” Hence the $20 budget. Even if I stay under $25 that is $100 with four kids! Now I look for inexpensive stocking stuffers for everyone that will fill up their stockings fast (and items they will play with over and over). My approach is all about bulky items that get you the most bang for your buck with cheap fillers like silly putty from a dollar store. It is important to note I have average sized Christmas stockings.
ALL UNDER $10!!All items are from Amazon.com (and affiliated) and some are add on items, which means the items ship with any qualifying order over $25. Note: I put this together as close to Christmas as possible (November 16, 2018); some prices may change. Most are best sellers or Amazon Choice.
How to Navigate this Post Quickly & Things to Keep in Mind
- I’m totally visual, so a picture of the item will be shown below with the link above the item which makes this a looong post. Look for your age group (chronological order) to browse quickly.
- Mix and match across age groups.
- Each age group has about 10 items to mix and match, some items will fill up a whole stocking.
- Items listed can be taken out of the package and/or divided among stockings!
- The majority of these items are gender friendly.
- Consider a few of the items from below and combine them with a few items from a dollar store or Five Below if you have one in your area. Make sure they are things your kids will play with, so you don’t resent the crap out of the purchase!
- If you are buying it already or they need it, it counts! Yes, I’m that mom: “You need socks? Ok, but you’re getting it for Christmas.” My kids range from 6-23 so small gift certificates to their favorite fast food joint and candy count too *meh!
