Couple of things: 1) I’ve always wanted to try Realgood Foods Co. Enchiladas, so I’m excited to share this review and 2) they aren’t as easy to find as some foods so I’ll also cover where and how to buy.
Lastly, This post is not affiliated with Realgood Foods Co.; it may contain affiliated links.
Let’s dig in!
Realgood Foods Co. Enchiladas
There are four different kinds of Realgood Foods Co. Enchiladas. I will cover three.
- Realgood Foods Co. Cheese Enchiladas. These are currently out of stock on their website; I did find them at my store!
- Realgood Foods Co. Pork Enchiladas.
- Realgood Foods Co. Chicken Enchiladas. Currently sold out on their site too, but I did find these at my local HEB.
- Realgood Foods Co. Beef Enchiladas. I was not able to get my hands on this one, but you can buy them on their site in COMBO box (more on that later)!
What makes Realgood Foods Co. Enchiladas Special
Let’s get to the bottom of this Total 4g carbs/20-25g protein per serving business (and they are gluten free!). How it this possible?
Well, the tortillas are made from an all natural, antibiotic free chicken breast.
I also love that “everything is made from scratch, all natural & slow cooked!”
That being said, I hope that Realgood Foods Co. has an awesome business plan that is capable of filling up the supply and demand gap.
We are a big family and I cook for everyone. Let’s face it, some days you just don’t want to cook! Truth be told, most days; some days you just give in and reach for a precooked meal.
Although this is infrequent on our Keto diet, Realgood Foods Co. just made my life a little easier. I mean there is ZERO guilt here and I get to skip meal prep in a pinch.
One and done.
But what we are really here to talk about is flavor, satisfaction and overall yum factor!
My husband is always gracious and NEVER complains about my cooking. I have also noticed he always keeps Cholula (Keto friendly hot sauce) around for a recipe assist.
Over the years I have noticed when he doesn’t like the way something tastes he just adds some Cholula.
I will have a bottle on hand to help out in case I’m not 100% satisfied with the flavor.
Realgood Foods Co. Enchiladas Review
Yeah, let’s get in to it and see if it is worth the purchase! They average about $7.50 per two enchilada serving.
Realgood Foods Co. Cheese Enchiladas
This is a yes! As I cover in the video the chicken tortillas are brown. After a little thought I think it is because the color would more closely resemble a cheese enchilada; I am not the maker, so it’s just my guess.
These are perfectly salty (and I like salt) with lots of cheese! The amount of sauce is very satisfying too.
I would not recommend cooking them for three minutes and then letting it stand for one minute. The cheese started to attached to the container. I would say yes to the three minutes and then transfer to a plate immediately; all microwaves are different.
<seriously, if you do not use a microwave I’m not reviewing that>
If you are a fan of cheese enchiladas, and I am, I would definitely keep these on hand as a go-to, quick and satisfying meal.
There a two cheese enchiladas with 4g TOTAL carbs and 25g of protein. For more information on how many grams of protein you should be eating a day check out my post on Ketogenic Diet for Dummies.
Realgood Foods Co. Chicken Enchiladas
OMG, the Realgood Food Co. Chicken enchiladas are amazing! These have a wonderful tomatillo sauce that will have you licking your plate – in the right company (yes, you count!) It’s this creamy, limey deliciousness.
I had to stop and read the ingredients. The sauce was so creamy I thought it had sour cream.
I thought the chicken tortillas wrapped around shredded chicken would yield more protein then the cheese – you know – chicken on chicken, but it is not the case.
None the less, they are so VERY satisfying and still have 20g of protein (and ONLY 4g total carbs).
Realgood Foods Co. Verde Pork Enchiladas
If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all, right? I gotta tell you though, if you don’t like the smell of pork microwaved, this is no exception.
<maybe I will talk about using the oven instead of the microwave>
I hate the smell of microwaved pork and I could not get over it. This is totally personal! The sauce is good. Not as good as the chicken enchilada sauce, but good.
With 20g of protein as well, you can’t go wrong. If you like shredded pork give them a try.
Realgood Foods Co. Enchiladas on the Keto – Low Carb/High Fat, or Gluten Free Diet
Look, if someone would have told me I would have all these food issues as I aged I would not have believed it. As you start to decode what foods make you feel good/better, it is life changing.
If you are new to Keto the Realgood Food Co. Enchiladas are a great meal while you are getting your feet under you. Understanding Keto completely can take some time and this is a great sub to preparing your own food or for someone with a busy schedule.
If you are still feeling confused about Keto, check out my post Keto Diet for Dummies.
Maybe you are a veteran Keto, low carb/high fat or gluten free eater. These enchiladas could easily become a staple.
If you want to try just one to start I would highly suggest the Realgood Food Co. Chicken Enchiladas. You can order them from their site by the box.
Realgood Food Co. Places/Ways to Buy
Although I am reviewing the enchiladas they have several other options to choose from. Realgoood Food Co. also sells pizzas, poppers and more!
You buy the enchiladas by the box, which includes six servings in boxes with two enchiladas each. You can buy combo boxes as well. For example, three beef enchiladas and three chicken enchiladas, which is what I went with since they were sold out of cheese and chicken at the time.
A box averages about $7.49 per serving or $44.99 delivered.
NOTE: while I was reviewing the Realgood Food Co. enchiladas they had a promotion for four pints of Peanut Butter Fudge and Chocolate ice cream for free! Their ice cream is low carb/high fat keto ice cream with no added sugar. The kicker: each pint only has 5-8 net carbs! Code: REBEL.
I have shopped these on Amazon.com; they did not beat the price of buying directly from Realgood Food Co. (and free shipping). In fact, at the time, Amazon was about $10 more for a box.
If you do not go through Realgood Food Co. directly, you can find places to buy their products through their store locator. They are also available at some Costco stores!
Overall, the Realgood Food Co. enchiladas are delicious. The cheese and chicken are my favorite; the chicken will be my go-to. It is AWESOME SAUCE! I have not found the beef in store; I have ordered them by mail, so I will update this post later!
I hope this was helpful and you’ll give them a try. As far as a quick and easy keto meal, hands down this is my favorite!
