First of all, I’m trying to stay on top of all the smells in each household bathroom and child’s room (3).
The upfront cost for plugins to stock with oils was around $10. This does not include taxes, oils or refills. From Walmart I purchased the said plug-ins in a pack of two times three at about $3 a piece.

Now for the oils. Those are a bit more. For a three pack times two that can run anywhere from $5.20 to $7.70 (also Walmart) each equalling $10.40 every two weeks using the lowest price. If there are 52 weeks in a year and I’m buying refills half of the time or 26 times at $10.40 a pop that adds up.
Cost of name brand fresheners annually: $280

I buy four pound boxes of baking soda for around two dollars every two months or so. I picked up a 12 pack of four ounce jars from Walmart for $8.92, which allowed me extra room fresheners and two for gifts! While shopping there I picked up a 10 Essential Oil pack for $19.99 and I was done for the year.
Consequently, I pay $13 for baking soda annually, around $9 for jars and $20 for fresheners/oils.
